White House condemns Russian attack on Kramatorsk hotel that killed Reuters security adviser

The White House condemned the Russian missile attack on Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region that killed a Reuters employee.

Sean Savett, spokesman for the White House National Security Council, said this in a post on the social media platform X, Ukrinform reports.

“We strongly condemn this attack and extend our deepest condolences to Reuters for the loss of one of its members,” Savett wrote.

As Ukrinform reported, on the night of August 25, Russian troops launched a missile attack on a hotel in Kramatorsk where Reuters journalists were staying. Among the injured journalists were citizens of Ukraine, the United States, Latvia, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Reuters confirmed the death of his security adviser Ryan Evans as a result of the Russian attack on Kramatorsk.
