Mariah Carey has suffered a great loss as both her mother and sister died on the same day. We have the report. In an unimaginable tragedy confirmed by Billboard, Mariah's mother Patricia and her sister Alison have both died, passing away within hours of each other. In a statement obtained by Billboard, Carey wrote, “I am heartbroken to have lost my mother this past weekend. Unfortunately, in a tragic turn of events, my sister lost her life on the same day. I feel blessed to have been able to spend the last week with my mother before she passed away.”

Her mother, also a singer, was involved in her 2010 Christmas album. She spoke about her relationship with her family in her 2020 memoir, The Meaning Of Mariah Carey. Details of Patricia and Alison's causes of death have not been confirmed, our thoughts are with Mariah and her family.
