Man dies in hospital after afternoon shooting in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) – Fayetteville police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead.

Officers responded to a 911 call from the 200 block of Early Street shortly before 3 p.m. on August 20.

Officers found a man who had been shot. The victim was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center but later died from his injuries.

On Tuesday, FPD identified the victim as Anthony Douglas, 34, of Fayetteville.
