'Perfect and beautiful' teenager dies in tragic accident – devastated family pays tribute

The heartbroken family of a Fallin teenager who died in a tragic accident have paid tribute to their “beautiful, perfect boy” – and thanked the community for their support.

Popular 14-year-old Noah Grant died Saturday night following an incident at home.

Police said they were called to an address in the village at 7.45pm. They added: “Emergency services attended the scene, however a 14-year-old youth was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Police said the investigation was still ongoing but there were no suspicious circumstances.

On Sunday evening, the Facebook page Fallin Community Voice, with the family's permission, posted news of the “tragic accident” and a link to an online fundraiser.

Since then, local people have collectively raised over £4,400 for the family.

In a Facebook post on Monday evening, Noah's devastated mother Dawn Guthrie wrote: “It is with such a heavy heart that we all share in our lives that our beautiful, perfect boy Noah-Pie sadly passed away on August 24th.

“We have never felt such pain and want to wake up from this nightmare.

“Noah, our perfect boy, you left a void that no one will ever fill.

“You and Grandpa Guthrie are going to take a little ride in the car until Mommy, Daddy, and Mason get here. See you soon, Cake.

“I love you until there are no stars above you, our darling.”

“We are completely overwhelmed by the donations, flowers, comments and messages.

“Not a single comment or message has gone unnoticed. While nothing can ease the pain and heartache we are feeling, we are truly grateful for the support during this very dark time.”

Condolences also quickly came from Fallin’s political representatives.

Evelyn Tweed MSP, from Stirling, said: “My thoughts and condolences are with Noah’s family and friends at this incredibly sad time.

“I am delighted that the Fallin community is coming together to offer support to the family during this time, as are the staff and students at Ochil House and Wallace High School.

“If I can be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.”

Meanwhile, Bannockburn councillor Brian Hambly said his “thoughts and prayers” were with Noah’s family.

A Police Scottish spokesman said: “We were called to a property in Fallin at around 7.45pm on Saturday 24 August as we were concerned about a person.

“The emergency services arrived, but the death of a 14-year-old boy was confirmed at the scene of the accident.

“The investigation is ongoing, but there are no suspicious circumstances. A report will be sent to the public prosecutor's office in due course.”

A Stirling Council spokesman said: “Our deepest condolences go out to the child’s family and loved ones following this tragic event.

“We offer our support to everyone in the community who has been most affected, including school children who have lost a close friend and classmate.”
