Brittany Mahomes on “different views” amid Donald Trump drama

Several users of X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, posted screenshots and screen captures showing the name of Brittany's Instagram account beneath Trump's post.

Amid the backlash, Brittany Mahomes sent a strong message to her haters.

On Monday, days after making headlines for liking a Trump post, Brittany shared a quote from religious author Shane Pruitt.

“Contrary to the tone of the world today… you can disagree with someone and still love them,” reads the quote, shared via her Instagram stories. “You can have different views and still be kind.”

Under the quote, Brittany said, “Read that again.”

This is apparently the second time she's addressed the haters. On August 24, Brittany shared another quote that read, “To be a hater as an adult, you have to have deep-rooted issues that you've been refusing to heal since childhood. There's no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate when others are doing well.”

Brittany captioned the message: “I mean, honestly.”

On August 13, the former president shared a post on Instagram titled “The 2024 GOP Platform.”

The post outlined several controversial points, including instructions such as “Deport pro-Hamas radicals,” “Keep men out of women’s sports,” “Cut federal funding to all schools that promote Critical Race Theory,” and “Stop the migrant crime epidemic.”

In the past, these points have been accused of promoting misinformation, bigotry and targeting minorities.

Following the criticism, Brittany broke her silence on her Instagram stories on Friday. “I mean, honestly, to be a hater as an adult, you have to have deep-rooted issues that you refuse to heal since childhood,” she said. “There's no reason to hate when your brain is fully developed and others are fine.”

The Daily Mail reported that Brittany tweeted in September 2017 that Trump had “insulted faaaaar too many people.” The exact context of the tweet was not specified, but it came at a time when Trump was heavily criticizing NFL players who kneeled during the national anthem to protest racial injustice.
