How a college photoshoot led JYP Entertainment to find the best K-drama actress

The Korean entertainment industry is highly competitive, and every year thousands of hopeful talents line up to audition for entertainment companies and secure that one chance to debut. In such an environment, being discovered by an agency is a big deal and usually means that the person has something extraordinary.

Those who watched The fame or The Revenge of Others can vouch for how much actress Shin Ye Eun meets this exceptional requirement.

While Shin's most well-known feature as an actress is her amazing acting skills, she is also praised for her sharp visual effects. These visual effects are the reason why she was signed to a prestigious agency like JYP Entertainment (hereinafter JYP).

Shin made his debut in 2018 in a web series called A-Teen. She signed with JYP that same year and landed her first leading role the following year. What accelerated her path to success, however, was her appearance as a cover model for Korea's college magazine. College tomorrow Magazine No. 840.
