Sexual harassment: Woman sexually assaulted by biker duo; 1 person arrested | News from Lucknow

Lucknow: A Woman was allegedly sexually harassed by unknown men on a bicycle in the Sushant Golf City Police station. When the woman protested, they snatched her mobile phone and threw it away. The woman sustained an injury on her leg in the incident. Police arrested one of the accused. The survivor, a resident of Sector 11 Vrindavan Yojna, runs a food stall at Defence Ground Sector 12.
On Monday around 10:30 p.m. she was on her way home on her scooter when two boys followed her.
As she accelerated her scooter a little, the perpetrators also accelerated and blocked her path, causing her to fall.
Fearing them, the girl took out her phone to inform the police, but the youths harassed her, snatched the phone from her and threw it away, the FIR said.
“At that moment, a police team on patrol reached the spot after hearing the noise. She narrated the whole story to them. The police team immediately arrested Chhotu, the son of Ram Ratan, while one of his companions fled the scene,” said Shashank Singh, DCP of East Zone.
