Report of shots fired in Aliquippa Saturday morning

(Aliquippa, Pennsylvania) Just after midnight last Saturday morning, police received a report of a disturbance and gunshots at 500 Superior Avenue in Valley Terrace Building D. Officers said they encountered about 10 people yelling and arguing with each other on the second floor. Police say they were told there was a disturbance outside the building and on the first and second floors. Residents reported that a black man wearing a red hoodie and black sweatpants fired three shots at another man during an argument. They said the other man was not hit by the bullets. Police said the incident stemmed from a custody dispute. The shooter was reported to police and fled before police arrived on the scene. His name will not be released until the investigation is complete. Officers collected three empty shell casings from the area where the shots were fired.
