Cuddalore: A 38-year-old Man was recently arrested because of sexual harassment be irrelevant Daughter in a village near Kattumannarkoil, Cuddalore district.
Police said the man started an argument with his wife on August 25 when he arrived home drunk. He physically attacked her and drove her out of the house. The woman stayed overnight at her neighbor's house. Later, the man sexually abused his 11-year-old daughter.
The woman came home the next morning and found Daughter crying. When she asked, the girl said that her father had sexually abused her. The woman reported the incident to the police.
The all-women Sethiathope police booked the man under sections 296 (b) (obscene acts and songs) and 351 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 and under sections 5 (aggravated penetrative sexual assault), 5 (m) (whoever commits penetrative sexual assault on a child below twelve years of age), 5 (n) (whoever is a blood relative of the child) and 6 (punishment for aggravated penetrative sexual assault) of the Pocso Act, 2012 and arrested him.tnn
