Two people seriously injured in plane crash in Palm Desert

The accident occurred around 2 p.m. in the 43000 block of Monterey Avenue, which runs along the western edge of the College of the Desert campus, Cal Fire reported on social media. The two people extricated from the vehicle were taken to a hospital.

The post provided few other details about the accident and did not indicate whether other vehicles were involved. A section of the road was expected to be closed until about 3:30 p.m.
