Miranda Lambert launches her new album with a surprise show at Stubb's in Austin

AUSTIN, TX (CelebrityAccess) — Country star Miranda Lambert gave fans a taste of her upcoming album with a surprise show at Austin's legendary Stubb's BBQ on Friday.

The concert was only advertised by a poster outside the venue, which surprised fans with the message “MIRANDA LAMBERT TONIGHT AT 6 PM.” According to her press agent, the concert hall was already completely sold out by midday.

Lambert's concert took place almost exactly twenty years to the day after her first appearance on her label, on August 28, 2024.

“I have a brand new album and I have the same passion that I had 20 years ago at this show,” reflected the woman hailed by Esquire as “consistent but never predictable” and by Rolling Stone as “country's most ambitious artist” from the stage, adding of the backdrop: “I love honky tonk. That's how I grew up. It's in my DNA.”

The album will be released in stores and as a streaming version on September 13th via Republic Records and is a tribute to Lambert's home state of Texas.
