Police seek suspect in racially motivated attack

Manhattan, NY — The New York Police Department is seeking information regarding an attack that occurred in Manhattan earlier this week. An 18-year-old woman was attacked by an unknown man outside 24 West 25th Street on Monday evening.

According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 9:33 p.m. when the suspect approached the victim and struck her in the face with a book. The attack caused pain, bruising, and swelling to the victim's nose. The man then fled the scene on foot, heading east on West 25th Street. The victim did not require hospitalization.

The suspect is described as a slim man with dark skin. He was last seen wearing grey shorts and white sneakers. He was carrying a white T-shirt and a book on his hip.

The NYPD is asking the public for help in identifying the suspect involved in the attack.

“We ask anyone with information to contact authorities as we work to identify and locate this individual,” the New York Police Department said in a statement.
