One person injured in crash on 11-E near I-81 – WGRV.com

One person was injured in a crash on West Andrew Johnson Highway at the Interstate 81 exit around 7:00 a.m. this morning.

A Ford Explorer, driven by 31-year-old Courtney Mikels, was traveling south on West Andrew Johnson Highway while a Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by 23-year-old Ethan Bumgarner, was turning from the southbound exit of Interstate 81 onto 11-E.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, Mikels failed to stop at a red light and crashed into the driver's door of Bumgarner's Tahoe.

Bumgarner was injured and taken to a local hospital by EMS. Mikels was not injured. No charges were listed in the THP report.
