Due to an accident, the Santiam Highway is closed near Santiam Junction and Sisters

The accident was reported at 11:21 a.m. near mile marker 83 between Santiam Junction and Sisters.

The closure is expected to last until the afternoon, the Oregon Department of Transportation said. There were no local detours.

ODOT advised drivers to take an alternate route or postpone their trip.
