Man from College Station allegedly sexually abused children for years

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – A College Station man is in prison after being accused of sexually abusing three children, all under the age of 14, over several years from 2017 to 2023.

Details of the repeated abuse were provided in a probable cause affidavit filed by College Station police following Stelton Govan's arrest on Monday.

The allegations arose after one of the children reported the alleged abuse.

The police report states that 23-year-old Govan knew the children personally, but to protect their identities, KBTX is not releasing any further information.

Govan remains in jail with bail set at half a million dollars. He is accused of sexually abusing a child under the age of 14.

The police report also states that Govan's younger brother is also accused of sexually abusing the same children, but his name is being withheld due to his age. Details of his case are not available because it is a juvenile case.
