Channing Dungey and Peter Safran attend the Entertainment & Technology Summit

diversity has announced that Channing Dungey, Chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television Group, and Peter Safran, Co-Chairman and Co-CEO of DC Studios, will appear at City National Bank’s annual Entertainment and Technology Summit on September 26 in Los Angeles.

Dungey, who was recently named to soon lead WBD's U.S. network business in addition to leading Warner Bros. Television Group, will discuss her vision for a television storytelling that reaches a broad audience, including her team's live-action series “Ted Lasso,” “Abbott Elementary,” the world of “The Big Bang Theory” and “Presumed Innocent,” the popular live-action films “The Bachelor” and “The Voice,” and the animated hits “Batman: Caped Crusader” and “Harley Quinn.”

Safran will discuss his leadership of the recently formed DC Studios, where he and fellow co-chairman and co-CEO, acclaimed writer/director James Gunn, are leading efforts to unite the power and wonder of the DC Universe in film, television, animation and gaming under a single banner. First up are the highly anticipated theatrical releases of Joker: Folie à Deux and The Penguin for HBO/Max.

Adam Aron, CEO of AMC Theatres, will also participate in the summit and lead a conversation about the importance of the moviegoing experience and how technological innovations in cinema are helping to attract audiences back to theaters.

Alisa Bowen, President of Disney+; Annie Luo, EVP of Global Partnerships and Strategic Development at Peacock; Charlie Collier, President of Media at Roku; Pierluigi Gazzolo, CEO of ViX, Inc. and TelevisaUnivision, Inc.; and Frank Boulben, Chief Revenue Officer of Verizon, will participate in the panel discussion “Perfecting the Streaming Business.”

Erin Oremland, General Manager at AgilLink and SVP and Head of Ecosystem Delivery at City National Bank, will participate in the discussion “Driving Financial Operations in an Uncertain Media Market.”

Charlotte Maines, Director of EDS Advertising and Monetization at Fire TV, Rachel Delphin, CMO of Twitch and Nick Pepper, Head of Wholly Owned Content at Amazon MGM Studios, will discuss how the streaming media landscape can serve as a channel to diversify audience reach while building brand equity and consumer trust.

Tim O'Brien, Chief Revenue Officer at Scopely, will discuss how mega-deals and mergers have transformed both the traditional entertainment industry and the video game industry.

Michael Wise, CTO, Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, Abi Ashok, VP of Travel Incubator at Expedia Group and Katja Reitemeyer, Director of Data Science and AI for Media and Entertainment at Nvidia, participated in the panel discussion “Generative AI – Succeeding with the Genie in the Bottle”, alongside Eli Collins, VP Deep Mind at Google; Phil Wiser, CTO of Paramount Global; and Victoria Bousis, Director and Creative Technologist.

Lamorne Morris, Emmy-nominated actor and host of “The Mess Around” and “The Lamorning After,” has been added to the Podcast All-Stars panel, which also includes Jesse Tyler Ferguson, host of “Dinner's on Me with Jesse Tyler Ferguson,” Jenna Ushkowitz, host of “And That's What You REALLY Missed,” Iliza Shlesinger, host of “Ask Iliza Anything,” and Whitney Cummings, host of “Good For You.”
