Treylon Burks returns to Tennessee Titans practice on Thursday after Wednesday's injury scare

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks is back on the practice field on Thursday after a short-term injury scare on Wednesday.

After leaving practice early Wednesday morning due to an apparent hip/lower back injury, Burks returned to practice at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park in full uniform.

This is good news for the Titans, who are already struggling with a number of injuries to their wide receivers.

DeAndre Hopkins missed much of training camp due to a knee injury, but is expected to be healthy again in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears.

Tyler Boyd, who signed a one-year deal with the Titans in the offseason, missed two days of practice due to a foot injury but has since returned to practice.

Kyle Phillips and Mason Kinsey are also dealing with injuries. Phillips suffered a hamstring injury last week and hasn't practiced since. Kinsey broke a finger last week. He practiced but didn't participate in all drills.

Injury history of Treylon Burks of the Tennessee Titans

Burks, 24, was the Titans' first-round draft pick (No. 18) in 2022, the draft pick they received from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for wide receiver AJ Brown.

Since arriving in Tennessee, Burks has struggled with several injuries and health issues.

When he came to training camp as a freshman, he had conditioning issues due to asthma. Then, during his rookie season, he missed four games due to a toe injury and two games due to a concussion.

In 2023, Burks suffered a knee injury early in the season that forced him to miss four games. Then, after a hard hit against the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 2, he missed three games due to a concussion.

This offseason, Burks has had more than one injury scare but has participated in most practices. He played in the Titans' first preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers but did not play last week against the Seattle Seahawks.
