Former school bus driver from Vermont faces renewed child sexual abuse charges

BURLINGTON, Vermont (WCAX) – A former Vermont school bus driver serving a prison sentence for sexually abusing two young boys is facing new charges.

According to police, 65-year-old Jerry Normandin of Milton sexually abused several boys over several years in the mid-2000s.

He is due back in court on Sept. 19 to face new charges of aggravated sexual assault and lewd and lascivious conduct with a child. The new charges were filed after someone reported abuse that occurred during his youth up until Normandin's prison stay, according to police.

Normandin is currently serving his sentence at the Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield and is scheduled to be released in less than two years due to previous charges.
