Portage County man died Friday after work accident in Del Monte


Tchatravina Lo suffered severe lacerations to his neck and head trauma. According to Plover Police Chief Ryan Fox, he died at the scene of the accident.

PLOVER – A 43-year-old Portage County man died Friday after a workplace accident at Del Monte Foods Inc.

Plover Police Chief Ryan Fox told the Stevens Point Journal that Tchatravina Lo died Friday after an accident while using a forklift to load goods onto a railroad car. Lo suffered severe lacerations to her neck and head trauma and died at the scene despite life-saving efforts, Fox said.

Fox said an investigation found no crime was committed. He said it was an unfortunate series of events that led to a tragic ending.

A reporter from the Stevens Point Journal also reached out to Del Monte Foods. The company had not responded at the time of publication.
