Galley Road closed due to accident involving a school bus, no children involved

COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Springs Fire Department said its crews were at the scene of a traffic accident along Galley Road Tuesday morning.

According to police, all eastbound lanes of Galley Road are closed at Bowser Drive. Apparently a car crashed into the back of a school bus.

According to the fire department, no children were involved in the accident, but the vehicle caught fire.

The emergency services managed to extinguish the fire quickly. However, traffic is expected in the area during the clean-up operations.

The fire department could not yet say whether there were any injuries in the accident.
