FIRST LOOK pictures of the upcoming Chris Lang drama “I, Jack Wright on Alibi” released

UKTV today released a selection of first images from the upcoming U&Original series, I, Jack Wright (6×60') on the specialty channel Alibi. The brand new series was written by Chris Lang. (Unforgotten, The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe)produced by Federation Stories and will premiere on Alibi in early 2025.

I, Jack Wright has a star cast with Nikki Amuka Bird (Citadel, Hard Sun) in the leading role as Sally Wright alongside John Simm (Mercy, Crime) as Gray Wright and Gemma Jones (Gentleman Jack, Finding Alice) as Rose Wright. Trevor Eve (A Discovery of Witches, Awakening of the Dead) takes on the title role of Jack Wright, with Daniel Rigby (The Witchfinder, Landscape Gardener) like John Wright and Ruby Ashbourne Serkis (Becoming Elizabeth, The Serpent) as Emily Wright.

Other actors include Rakhee Thakrar (Sex education) as Laura Johnstone, Harry Lloyd (The Lost King, Game of Thrones) as DCI Hector Morgan, Zoe Tapper (Grace, Liar) like Georgia Wright, Liz Kingsman (kidnap) as DC Katie Jones, James Fleet (Bridgerton, Tom Jones) as Bobby, Sabrina Bartlett (The Larkins) as Bella and Percelle Ascott (Domino Day) as Reuben.

Jack Wright (Eve) is a powerful and successful businessman who leaves his family in turmoil when they learn of his suicide. When the terms of Jack's last will and testament are revealed, his third wife Sally (Amuka-Bird) and two sons Gray (Simm) and John (Rigby) are shocked to find they have been largely excluded from Jack's enormous fortune. As DCI Morgan (Lloyd) and DC Jones (Kingsman) investigate the case further, they realise that Jack's cause of death was in fact murder. Their sights turn to the Wright family, where the mother of all feuds begins. As each family member becomes more ruthless and desperate in their quest to own a piece of Jack's inheritance, dark secrets and resentments are revealed with explosive consequences.

I, Jack Wright is a thrilling, blackly humorous and moving crime family drama with numerous unexpected twists and turns in which a family has to deal with betrayal and secret plans of everyone involved.

I, Jack Wright was commissioned by Hilary Rosen, Director of Commissioning, and ordered by Emma Ayech, Channel Director, for Alibi. The series has already been sold to Scandinavian public broadcasters (YLE, DK, NRK, SRK) and the pre-investment deal was brokered by Tarmo Kivikallio, Head of Acquisitions and Commissioning at YLE. Executive producers are Polly Williams, Arielle Gottlieb, Chris Lang and Tom Vaughan. Helen Perry is executive producer for UKTV.
