Task Force Visits Farm Show Grounds – ButlerRadio.com

Congressman Mike Kelly toured the Butler Farm Fairgrounds with members of the Donald Trump Assassination Task Force to better understand the mistakes that led to the July 13 shooting.

After touring the Farm Show grounds, Kelly says the security lapses that led to the shooting were serious.

“The burning question for me is whether they knew in advance that there was an armed man on the roof. The key was to get the former president of the United States off the podium and then none of this would have happened,” Kelly said.

While touring the Farm Show Grounds, the task force went to where President Trump was shot and where the shooter, 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, attempted to kill the former president.

Kelly praised his colleagues for the bipartisan work being done, with the task force including seven Republicans and six Democrats.

“None of us are thinking, 'We need a quick answer,'” Kelly said. “We need to get the right answer.”
