Kate Winslet plays the lead role in the Hulu series “The Spot”

Kate Winslet will soon be seen in a new Hulu series called The spot. The show can be ordered directly from the streamer as a series.

The official synopsis of the show states that The spot is about a “successful surgeon (Winslet) and her husband, a teacher, who begin to suspect that she may be responsible for the fatal hit-and-run accident of a child. Their search for the truth becomes entangled in a web of growing suspicion and dark secrets, testing their resolve and their relationship as they confront the possibility of hidden guilt and betrayal.”

Ed Solomon is attached as writer, executive producer and showrunner on the project. Kate Winslet will executive produce in addition to starring under her Juggle Productions label. A24 is the lead studio on the co-production with 20th Television.

Kate Winslet, multiple Oscar nominee and award winner, has become an integral part of successful television appearances. In recent years, she has given us more TV shows than films. Her most recent television appearance was in the HBO limited series The regime.

Previously, she starred in the HBO miniseries Mare by Easttown for which she won the Emmy Award for Best Actress in a Miniseries. In the same category, she won in 2011 for the HBO series Mildred PierceShe will return to HBO for the miniseries Trust, which is currently being worked on.

Kate Winslet is also known for her seven Oscar nominations. She won the Oscar for Best Actress for her work in the film The Reader in 2009.
