Pune: 11-year-old girl sexually abused in Khadakwasla confesses during ‘Good Touch – Bad Touch’ workshop at school

An 11-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a man in Khadakwasla in Pune. The accused, a 67-year-old man, has been arrested by the police.

According to police, the incident came to light during a workshop on 'Good Touch, Bad Touch' organised for the safety of girls at a school in Khadakwasla on Saturday. During the workshop, a Class 5 girl told a teacher that she was sexually assaulted on Friday.

She said the 67-year-old defendant lured her with sweets and then sexually abused her.

The teacher informed the principal, who then called the girl’s parents.

The school principal discussed the matter with the girl's parents and members of the teachers' union and filed a complaint with Haveli police station.

Based on the complaint, the accused was arrested and further investigations are being carried out, a police officer said.
