“Time for decisive action”: Zelensky implores allies after massive Russian attack on Ukraine – this is how it happened | Ukraine

“Now is the time for decisive action”: Selenskyj makes phone calls after “one of the biggest attacks”

The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyhas again appealed to Western partners to increase their assistance after Russia launched what it described as “one of the largest attacks – a combined strike with over a hundred missiles of various types and around a hundred 'Shaheds'”.

“Throughout Ukraine, we could do much more to protect human lives if the air forces of our European neighbors operated in harmony with our F-16 fighter jets and air defense systems. If such a unit has proven effective in the Middle East, it must also work in Europe,” the Ukrainian president stressed.

“Ukraine cannot be constrained in its long-range capabilities if terrorists are not constrained,” he said, adding: “America, Britain, France and our other partners have the power to help us stop this terror. Now is the time for decisive action.”

The object that flew into Polish airspace during the Russian attack on Ukraine was probably a drone, officials say

An object that entered Polish airspace during the Russian attack on Ukraine on Monday was most likely a drone, the spokesman for the Polish Army's operational command said. The search for the object is underway.

“During the massive attack on Ukrainian territory on Monday, an object probably flew into Polish territory,” General Maciej Klisz, the operational commander of the armed forces, was quoted as saying by Polsat News.

“The object was confirmed by radio tracking from at least three radar stations. I had full control of the object and was ready to shoot it down.”

Poland, a NATO ally, has a long border with Ukraine and strongly supports Kyiv in the fight against invading Russian forces.
