Three people in hospital after mass accident on Highway 405 in Bel-Air

Four-vehicle collision causes major traffic jam near Mulholland Drive

Three people were hospitalized Saturday night after a four-vehicle crash on the southbound 405 Freeway in Bel-Air caused major traffic delays. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. near Mulholland Drive.

An adult female and an adult male were taken to the hospital by ambulance, while another adult female was admitted with non-life-threatening injuries. The LAFD press release stated, “One male child is being taken at the scene and will not be transported.” Although it is not mentioned in the press release, the boy was likely uninjured, while his parents and other family members were taken to the hospital.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated. The accident closed several southbound lanes, leaving only one lane open, which led to a traffic jam that stretched for miles.

Further details about the incident were not immediately available.
