According to the Athens County Sheriff's Office, officers were notified of a tractor-trailer rollover accident on State Route 56 on Tuesday.

According to the sheriff's office, officers located the scene of the accident and found passersby assisting the person.

The person involved in the accident refused any medical help and appeared to be in good health.

According to the Athens County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to a report of an elderly person wandering the streets lost and confused on Tuesday and arrived in Chauncey.

Officers arrived, identified the individual and made contact with his or her spouse. EMS transported the individual to the hospital.

False alarm 1

According to the Athens County Sheriff's Office, an alarm went off at the Shriner Building on August 19.

According to the sheriff's office, officers responded to Connett Road in The Plains and secured the building upon arrival.

False alarm 2

According to the Athens County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to an alarm system that went off at a residential home on August 19.

The alarm company canceled the call as a false alarm and the officers returned to patrol.

Suspicious activities

According to the Athens County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to Athens High School on August 18 because of suspicious activity.

Officers checked the school building and found an unlocked door. They found no suspects and secured the building.

Open disposal

According to the Athens County Sheriff's Office, officers located a man who had an outstanding arrest warrant.

The arrest warrant against the man was for open garbage disposal, according to the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail.

According to the sheriff's office, he was taken to the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail without incident.

“Horn blowing”

The Athens County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a honking on Marietta Run Road in Amesville on August 18.

The area was searched, but according to the sheriff's office, officers did not hear any horns.
