Nicole Kidman admits her new erotic drama “Babygirl” is her “most revealing” film yet as she hints at a very intimate scene

Nicole Kidman has hinted that her upcoming erotic drama “Babygirl” is her boldest film yet and gave insights into the hot project.

In “Babygirl,” the 57-year-old Australian actress plays an influential New York businesswoman who begins a risky affair with her much younger intern, played by Harris Dickinson.

The hot movie will feature some very intimate scenes, including one in which Nicole's character masturbates after having sex with her husband, played by Antonio Banderas.

Regarding the erotic scenes, Nicola – who most recently starred in “A Family Affair”, another love story with a big age gap – admitted that she had never felt so “exposed” in front of the camera.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, Nicole said she wasn't sure if she was “brave enough” to watch the film on the big screen when it premieres at the Venice Film Festival next month.

“Something inside me says, 'Okay, this was made for the big screen and to be seen with people. I'm not sure I have that much courage,'” Nicole told the publication.

“I've made some films that are quite revealing, but nothing like this one,” she added of the “confronting” experience.

Nicole expressed her fears about audiences seeing the sex scenes and admitted that the “vulnerable” filming process “wore her down”.

“It's like I thought, 'My goodness, I'm doing this and now it's actually being seen by the whole world. It's a very strange feeling,' she said.

“It's something you hide in your home videos. The world doesn't usually see it.”

In “Babygirl,” Nicole plays the role of Romy, a businesswoman who tries to balance her career with finding fulfillment in her marriage to a theater director (Antonio).

Cracks appear in their marriage when new intern Samuel (Harris) makes his attraction to Romy clear and they begin to explore a “forbidden sexual dynamic.”

Director Halina Reijn is said to have wanted to place a special focus on the female orgasm in the thriller, and in one charged scene she shows Romy masturbating.

This is not the first time Nicole has starred in a hot love story with a big age difference; she recently took on the lead role alongside Zac Efron in the Netflix series “A Family Affair.”

In the romantic comedy, the two played a hot nude scene together and Nicole gave an insight into the filming process in a recent interview.

She explained that she thinks it is “lazy” to rely solely on chemistry when casting for lovers when commenting on the topic of chemistry tests in auditions.

She told the Hollywood Reporter's Drama Actress Roundtable: “There's a way to shoot things, but relying solely on chemistry is lazy. There's the script, there's the interaction – you can literally direct through that.”

“Besides, the chemistry can't be right, and everything is done on screen,” she added.

“A Family Affair” was not well received by critics. It was later claimed that Nicole’s husband Keith Urban was “secretly” happy about the poor reception.

An insider told New Idea that Keith, 56, was not comfortable seeing his wife cuddling up to Zac after the pair last played lovers 12 years ago in the sensational crime drama The Paperboy.

“He trusts Nicole completely, but it unsettled him to see her bonding so closely with Zac on screen for a second time,” the source said.

“She probably won't marry a third time, which has basically made Keith infinitely happy – which of course he has to keep to himself!”
