Season 3 of Detective Grace as German premiere on ZDF

Fans of the British crime series “Detective Grace” can look forward to the German premiere of the third season today. What new case is the title character, played by John Simm, working on?

This Sunday, September 22nd, the German premiere of the third season of “Detective Grace” (originally: Grace) will take place on ZDF from 10:15 p.m. The public broadcaster only imported the second season in the spring. The first season was broadcast in the fall of last year. The new episodes will then, as usual, be available in the ZDF media library for a while.

In season three, Detective Superintendent Roy Grace, played by John Simm, is once again involved in three gripping cases in the southern English holiday resort of Brighton. These new episodes are based on the books “Dead Like You”, “Dead Man's Grip” and “Not Dead Yet” by original author Peter James. It begins with a brutal crime in a luxury hotel…

A central storyline is the possible return of Grace's missing wife Sandy (Clare Calbraith), which reopens old wounds and tests her emotional resilience. He also has to deal with a new boss, which makes his job even more difficult. Other important characters, such as DS Glenn Branson (Ritchie Campbell) and Grace's friend Cleo (Zoë Tapper), will also play a significant role again.

Viewers can expect a mix of personal and professional challenges for Grace that make the series so popular. In the UK, the fourth season of the production recently aired on the home channel ITV. A further season is currently planned for 2025.
