Woman arrested in Roxbury stabbing case

BOSTON – Boston police have arrested a woman in connection with a stabbing incident in Roxbury, officials said Sunday.

On August 24, at approximately 8:40 a.m., officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) arrested Shalia Brown, 32, of Boston, following an overnight stabbing.

Detectives had circulated a photograph of the suspect among patrol officers, leading to Brown's identification and arrest near 1965 Columbus Avenue.

Brown is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and is scheduled to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

The first incident occurred near 2041 Columbus Avenue, where police responded to reports of a stabbing and found two victims.

One was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the other was treated at the scene.

The circumstances that led to the stabbing are still being investigated.
