Hulu launches new drama series “The Spot” with Kate Winslet

The new series, in which the actress plays the lead role and also serves as an executive producer, will continue after tough competition on the streaming service.

New series warning:

Deadline reports exclusively that Hulu has landed the new drama series The spot.
The new series stars Oscar and Emmy winner Kate Winslet, who also serves as executive producer. The production is by Ed Solomon, A24 and 20th Television.
Written by Solomon, who will also serve as showrunner. The spot stars Winslet as a successful surgeon who is suspected by her husband, a teacher, of killing a child in a hit-and-run accident. As the investigation continues, their relationship is tested by dark revelations, guilt and betrayal.
Winslet will serve as executive producer through her company Jungle Productions, along with Solomon and A24.
A24 developed and commercialized the series earlier this year. The company will produce the series with 20th Television and will also serve as lead studio.
Winslet has had a brilliant career as an actress, including outstanding roles in Titanic, Mare of Easton, Mildred Pierce and more. She will also be seen in another James Cameron film next year in Avatar: Fire and Ashes.
Solomon began his career as a professional writer at ABC’s Laverne and Shirley. He is also widely known for his work on the Bill and Ted film series. Other notable projects he has written include Men in Black And Now you see me.
