67-year-old detained under POCSO for sexually abusing a minor

The defendant lives alone. When the minor was on her way to school, he approached her and later sexually abused her.

On Saturday, the school held a lesson on “good and bad touches,” during which the minor described the incident to the teachers, who in turn informed the parents.

The parents and the teacher contacted the local police station, and based on the parents' complaint, the police filed a complaint and arrested the accused.

An FIR was registered on Sunday under Sections 64(2)(i) 127(2) of the BNS and under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
