Tragic discovery: UPSC aspirant found dead in Delhi | Delhi News

New Delhi: Ten days after a UPSC candidate went missing, his body was found hanging from a tree in a forest area in northwest Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar. Initially, police claimed it was a case of suicide, although the MP Chandra Shekhar Azad called for an investigation into the matter.
The teenager lived in rented accommodation in northwest Delhi. He had been missing since September 11. His parents' efforts to contact him were in vain. The case was later registered with the police.
Police started searching for him in PGs and other areas. They reached the forest patch where they saw his body hanging from a tree on September 20. His bag was also found nearby. A senior officer said they suspected it was a case of suicide but were waiting for the post-mortem report.
MP Azad, also head of Bhim Armycalled for an investigation into the matter. He wrote about the incident on social media.
“The incident is extremely tragic. I would like to pay my humble tributes. My condolences go out to the family and I hope nature gives them the strength to bear this immense grief. I request the Delhi Police to thoroughly investigate the case and take strict action against the culprits,” he further wrote on X.
