PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man is accused of indecent touching and open lewdness over the weekend in Frick Park.

Nineteen-year-old Isaiah Rivers of Penn Hills was booked into the Allegheny County Jail on a variety of charges after Pittsburgh police said he assaulted a woman and exposed himself in a park on Sunday.

Police said they were called to Frick Park around 5:15 p.m. because a woman reported the case. She said she was jogging on Tranquil Trail when a man approached her from behind and told her she had something liquid on her clothing. Investigators said he began to sexually assault her, but she managed to escape and call police.

Shortly afterward, officers received another report of lewd behavior from a man matching the suspect's description at the Frick Park Lawn Bowl, according to police. “The caller stated he was masturbating and recording himself on his phone before turning the screen over to film it,” police said.

Another person also reported seeing a man following women in the park and sitting on a bench along Tranquil Trail. When police arrived, they found Rivers, who was identified by the first perpetrator.

After consultation with the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office, Rivers was taken into custody. Investigators took his phone and the victim's clothing as evidence.
