One dead and one injured in robbery on Upper East Side; no arrests

NEW YORK — One man was found dead and another seriously injured after an attack in an Upper East Side apartment on Sunday afternoon, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 1:30 p.m. at 232 East 95th Street in the 19th Precinct. Upon arrival, they discovered an unidentified man unconscious and unresponsive with injuries to his chest and neck. Emergency responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.

A second man, a 27-year-old man, was also found at the scene with numerous cuts. He was in serious but stable condition and taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Police recovered two knives at the scene. The cause of death is being determined by the medical examiner's office. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

    NEW YORK – The New York Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a man connected to a stabbing in Manhattan Friday night.

    According to authorities, the incident occurred around 8:43 p.m. in the area of ​​1st Avenue and East 14th Street. A 29-year-old man was walking down a flight of stairs when he accidentally collided with an unknown man. After a brief verbal argument, the attacker pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the back.

    The suspect fled the scene on foot. The victim was taken by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
