One dead and one injured in robbery on Upper East Side; no arrests

NEW YORK — One man was found dead and another seriously injured after an attack in an Upper East Side apartment on Sunday afternoon, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 1:30 p.m. at 232 East 95th Street in the 19th Precinct. Upon arrival, they discovered an unidentified man unconscious and unresponsive with injuries to his chest and neck. Emergency responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.

A second man, a 27-year-old man, was also found at the scene with numerous cuts. He was in serious but stable condition and taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Police recovered two knives at the scene. The cause of death is being determined by the medical examiner's office. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Fatal accident leads to closure of Solomons Island Road in Edgewater

EDGEWATER, Maryland — Two northbound lanes of Solomons Island Road at South River Road were closed following a fatal crash, according to Anne Arundel County police.

The accident occurred in the Edgewater area, prompting authorities to close roadways for investigation and clearing. Officials did not provide further information on the number of vehicles involved or the identity of the victim.

Emergency services arrived at the scene and police advised motorists to avoid the area and seek alternative routes. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.

“The investigation is ongoing and additional information will be provided as it becomes available,” the police department said.
New York City man stabbed in the back after accidental collision with another man

NEW YORK – The New York Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a man connected to a stabbing in Manhattan Friday night.

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 8:43 p.m. in the area of 1st Avenue and East 14th Street. A 29-year-old man was walking down a flight of stairs when he accidentally collided with an unknown man. After a brief verbal argument, the attacker pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the back.

The suspect fled the scene on foot. The victim was taken by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.

The police have released media showing the perpetrator allegedly responsible and are asking for any information that could help identify the suspect. The investigation is still ongoing.
