Ghanaian musician Kofi Kinaata has broken his silence after it was revealed that he was involved in an accident.

On Sunday afternoon, September 22, 2024, reports emerged that the highlife singer had suffered a serious road accident in Aboadze, near Takoradi in the Western Region.

The first report claimed that Kinaata, who was travelling with his team, collided head-on with another vehicle and was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

On X (Twitter), Kinaata confirmed the accident, but clarified that it was not as serious as reported and that he was fine.

“On the way to an event in the Western Region, our car had a head-on collision with a motorcycle in Aboadze, which resulted in an accident. Thank you all for your condolences. I am in good health and of sound mind,” he tweeted.

He later explained on Facebook what had happened. According to him, the Land Cruiser he was travelling in was crossed by a motorcyclist with two people on board. The drivers were hit by their car.

He added that the car was driven by a chauffeur sent by the organizers and that the departure point was at Maha Beach Resort in Nkroful.

He explained that none of the car's occupants were injured, but the drivers were and news of their recovery was awaited.
