University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff band plays at WWE Bad Blood

Cody Rhodes could make a special appearance at WWE Bad Blood.

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Marching Band, also known as The Marching Musical Machine of the Mid-South, has announced that it will perform at the pay-per-view in Atlanta on October 5. The band recently made headlines when it played Rhodes' theme song “Kingdom” during the Arkansas-Arksansas-Pine Bluff football game on August 29.

Rhodes reacted to a clip of the band's performance at X, writing:

“Berlin has already got me excited for #WWEBash, but THIS will probably be played one or two more times in the locker room before my match today. Awesome stuff.”

John Graham, the university's band director, spoke to ESPN about the reaction the song provoked.

“When our arranger put the song on paper for us, I looked at it [and] “Some of the students were shaking their heads and thinking, 'No, why are we doing this?' And then when we started rehearsing, the piece came to life,” he said.

“I said, 'It will work.'”

“As soon as I dropped the hammer and we started playing, I looked over and saw the fans reacting and saying, 'They're playing Kingdom,'” Graham continued. “I saw them standing up excited and with positive reactions, and I said to myself, 'Now we're here.' It was a beautiful moment.”
