Deshaun Watson 'struggles with mental health issues on the field' while dealing with further allegations of sexual assault, quarterback legend claims

It has been claimed that Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is battling mental health issues on the field due to ongoing allegations of sexual assault against him.

Watson has been involved in multiple lawsuits over the past three seasons and previously reached confidential settlements with 20 women over sexual misconduct claims that resulted in his suspension for 11 NFL games in the 2022 season.

Earlier this month, it was announced that a woman was suing him for over a million dollars in compensation. She accuses him of sexually harassing her in Texas four years ago.

Despite the new allegations, Watson continues to play for the Cleveland Browns, and former quarterback Warren Moon believes his on-field problems are closely related to his off-field drama.

“He's still dealing with all the crap he had a few years ago with the lawsuits and everything,” Moon told TMZ. “And now all of a sudden another lawsuit is coming our way.”

“It seems as if just after he has overcome the lawsuits – and then the injuries of the last few years – and got his career back on track, the next blow comes.”

“It seems like every time he goes on the field he plays with a heavy head and can't concentrate on the game,” Warren added. “He probably tries a little too hard. He puts pressure on. And he's just not able to play the way he could.”

The Browns are 1-1 to start the season after losing to Dallas in Week 1 but beating the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2.

This afternoon they face the Giants in Cleveland and, with Watson as quarterback, are clear favorites for their second win in a row.

After new allegations emerged in early September, Watson strongly denied the allegations related to his time with the Houston Texans.

“Deshaun strongly denies the allegations in the Jane Doe lawsuit filed on Monday,” Watson's Houston-based attorney, Rusty Hardin, said in a statement to DailyMail.com. “We have asked him not to comment further while this matter is being litigated, but are confident he will ultimately prevail.”

“We will be prepared to defend this case in court when the time comes, but we do not intend to conduct our defense in the media. We ask that people be patient while the legal process takes its course. In the meantime, Deshaun will focus his energy and concentration on football.”

According to TMZ, Doe claims Watson stripped naked and “demanded” the woman to “massage his butt” before grabbing and sexually assaulting her.

When asked if the legal battle would be a distraction, Watson insisted he needed to “focus on football.”

“Focus on keeping the most important things in mind,” he said.
