William Ruto mourns Kiambu MCA who died in accident and describes his crucial role in 2022 elections

Nairobi – President William Ruto has deeply mourned the death of nominated Kiambu MCA Ezra Kabuga Kihara.

Kabuga died in a tragic accident on Sunday, September 22, after his car collided with a truck near Mang'u High School along Thika Road.

In his message of condolence, the President recalled the role Kabuga played in the UDA party primaries in 2022.

“We are saddened by the loss of Hon. Ezra Kihara, nominated MCA in the Kiambu County Assembly. He was a committed and loyal member of the UDA. His skills in party politics were exemplary and he played a crucial role as the Kiambu County Returning Officer during the 2022 party primaries,” Ruto said.

Ruto said Kabuga's outstanding leadership qualities led to his selection as a member of the technical team of the UDA's national electoral committee.

“He was nominated as an MCA because of his outstanding leadership qualities and his contribution will be greatly missed. He was recently selected as a member of the UDA National Elections Board technical team for grassroots elections. Rest in peace Ezra,” the President added.
