Two-year-old girl crushed to death by car on church premises in Thrissur

Thrissur: In a tragic incident, a two-year-old girl died in a car accident at Cheloor in Irinjalakuda on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Ayrin, daughter of Bini and Jini.

Manorama News reported that a speeding car ran over the child on the premises of a church. The child was coming to the church for Sunday mass along with his mother in an autorickshaw.

When her mother paid money to the autorickshaw driver, the child ran to the church. A car carrying a sick devotee to the church allegedly crushed the child to death. Though Ayrin was rushed to the nearby community hospital in Irinjalakuda, she succumbed to her injuries. The child's body was taken to Thrissur Government Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
