Mumbai: Boat capsizes in sea during Andheri Cha Raja Immersion, 1 seriously injured | Video

A boat carrying the statue of Andheri Cha Raja Ganesh and at least two dozen people capsized during diving at Mumbai's Versova beach on Sunday. Thanks to quick rescue efforts by nearby boats, there were no fatalities but one person was seriously injured in the accident.

In a video shared online, a boat carrying the people and the Ganesha statue capsizes in the sea. Many manage to swim to safety, but others cling to the statue and its pedestal to avoid drowning, while other boats rush to rescue the people.
