After a long break, the “high diving” event took place again on ProSieben – and exactly one week after Stefan Raab’s comeback boxing match on RTL. The entertainer had once invented the sporting event as part of his late-night show “TV total”.

In the meantime, the format, in which celebrities try their hand at aerial diving, had moved to rival RTL. At ProSieben, the “high diving” is now called “TV total” high diving again and the new “TV Total” presenter Sebastian Pufpaff is the patron.

ProSieben: “Diving” candidate injured shortly before show

Even at ProSieben, sporting seriousness is taken in minimal doses. However, this does not protect the participants from injuries. The jumps from heights of up to ten meters involve a certain risk, as was also shown in Saturday's edition.

Reality star Diogo Sangre (“Forsthaus Rampensau”) had to cancel his participation at short notice. The reason: an eardrum injury that he sustained during a training jump. The “proof” was posted on Instagram.

“I hit my ear from 5 meters and burst my eardrum,” Sangre wrote in his story and showed a photo of the medical report:

“I underestimated the whole thing, I didn't train often enough,” Sangre added in an interview on the show.

The Instagram story appeared just a few hours before the broadcast. It is not clear when exactly ProSieben learned of the outage. In a clip, Sangre was introduced as a candidate during the live show. At least the broadcaster had enough time to find a replacement.

Reality star steps in after accident

Another reality star took Sangre's place: Kim Tränka (“Prince Charming”). Despite a lack of training, he did well on his first attempt, jumping from a height of 7.5 meters, among other things. However, the second jump failed.

It was not surprising that the individual discipline was won by gymnast Marcel Nguyen, who easily dominated the field due to his sporting experience. The prominent plastic surgeons Dr. Rick and Dr. Nick triumphed in the synchronized discipline. Sebastian Pufpaff came in second place in a duet with comedian Simon Gosejohann.
