Police: Couple arrested after children found covered in feces in ‘utterly disgusting’ apartment

(Gray News) – An Oklahoma couple was arrested after police allegedly discovered several children locked in a room covered in feces.

A neighbor called 911 after seeing two boys, about 3 and 4 years old, naked in an upstairs window, KOCO reported.

When officers arrived, they reported that they were almost overwhelmed by the smell of feces and urine in the apartment.

Officials said 24-year-old Dakota Dodd led officers to the bedroom where the boys were found.

“Feces on the walls, feces on the children. It was an absolutely disgusting sight,” said MSgt. Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police Department.

The bedroom was connected to a bathroom, but the door was locked from the other side.

Dodd reportedly admitted to locking the boys in the bedroom for more than 12 hours a day, KOCO reported.

According to police, conditions were so bad that investigators at the scene later wore protective suits for their protection.

There was a third child in the house, who is Dodd's biological child.

However, all three children belong to their mother, 22-year-old Aubrianna Freeman.

Both Dodd and Freeman were arrested and face multiple charges of child neglect.

It is currently unknown who is taking care of her.
