5 youths arrested for stabbing teenager in south Delhi's Sangam Vihar | Latest Delhi News

At 6:30 p.m. on Friday, police learned that two 16-year-old boys had been stabbed to death. When police arrived at the scene, they found one boy dead in a pool of blood, while the other was semi-conscious.

A case of murder was registered and the injured boy told police that five to six boys attacked him and four of his friends. All were armed with knives and the deceased 16-year-old was stabbed more than a dozen times by the rival group.

The two victims are said to be members of a gang led by a man named Islam, who is a fugitive and is involved in several cases of attempted murder, robbery and violations of the arms law, police said. The arrested youths are said to be members of a gang led by Hari Kishan, who is currently in jail for murder.

The two victims were released 10 days ago from an observation home where they had been taken for allegedly killing a 16-year-old boy, suspected of being a member of the Hari Kishan gang, in Tigri six months ago, police said.

“To avenge the death of their friend and assert their dominance in the area, members of the Hari Kishan gang decided to kill the two minors on Friday,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Paweriya.
