Lucky escape! Hit by car, girl from Noida lands on pillar of flyover | Video

A girl from Noida got lucky on Sunday after she was hit by a quad bike when it fell onto a bridge pillar.

The incident took place near Sector 25 under Sector 20 police station while the girl was riding a scooter.

The video of the incident went viral on social media platforms.

A video shows two men trying to rescue the girl from the gap in the overpass.

The girl's identity and condition are still unknown.

Police officers and firefighters rushed to the scene of the accident and rescued them with the help of a crane.

The girl was taken to hospital for treatment.

Numerous people also gathered below the bridge.

Commenting on the incident, Manish Kumar Mishra, ADCP, said that a girl was travelling from Noida to Ghaziabad when her scooter met with an accident and she landed on the base of a pillar of a flyover.

“Police arrived at the accident spot immediately after receiving the information. Rescue teams of police and fire department arrived and the girl was safely rescued. She was taken to the hospital in an ambulance,” ANI quoted Mishra as saying.

The official added that the two men who had come to the rescue were also helped and taken to the hospital.

“As per the information, it was a WagonR (that hit the girl's scooter). It has been seized by the police. We will ask the girl a few questions about the incident and take further action,” Mishra said.

Meanwhile, in another incident in Uttar Pradesh, an elderly couple was mown to death in a hit-and-run accident in front of the Anandeshwar Shiv Temple in Kanpur.

Local residents said the accident occurred shortly after dawn. Police officials confirmed that both victims have been sent for postmortem examination and are currently examining CCTV footage from surveillance cameras around the temple complex, ANI reported.
