Jani Master is remanded in custody for 14 days; police register POSCO case

Telugu choreographer Shaik Jani Basha, also known as Jani Master, was remanded in custody for 14 days by the Upparpally court in Hyderabad on Friday. He was arrested from Goa by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Cyberabad police on Thursday.

After his arrest, Jani Master was produced in court and has now been sent to Chanchalguda Central Jail in Hyderabad.

A senior police official confirmed the arrest and told the media that police would soon take the choreographer into custody for further questioning. The official explained that this step was necessary due to the seriousness of the sexual abuse allegations against him.

The officer also noted that the evidence is strong and it is unlikely that Jani Master will be released on bail. His detention is still being discussed and further questioning will be conducted on the charges.

Jani Master now faces charges under several sections of the new BNS Code.

Meanwhile, Jani Master's wife Ayesha has denied all allegations against her husband and raised doubts as to why the victim took so long to file a complaint. She further claimed that the woman had previously thanked Jani Master for his support in her career.

So far, Jani Master has not made any public comments on the case.
