Noida woman stuck on flyover pillar after car hits her scooter, later rescued

Noida (Uttar Pradesh) [India]September 21 (ANI): A teenage girl riding a scooter landed on the pillar of the flyover near Noida Sector 25 on Saturday after she was hit by an unidentified vehicle. She was later rescued by police and fire department teams, Noida police said.

In addition to the woman, the two men who tried to rescue her were evacuated from the scene of the accident and all three were taken to hospital.

The accident occurred in the area of ​​Sector 20 police station. The picture from the accident site showed that the girl and the two men who tried to help her were stuck on the pillar when the rescue team arrived.

When a crane was brought to the scene, the men lifted the girl and helped her. “We saw the girl fall and came to her aid. The police rescued us and called an ambulance…” said Janarul, one of the two men who tried to rescue the girl.

ADCP Manish Kumar Mishra said, “A girl was travelling from Noida to Ghaziabad, her scooter met with an accident and she landed on the base of a flyover. Police reached the spot immediately after receiving the information. Rescue teams of police and fire department reached the spot and the girl was rescued safely. She was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.” “Two men who were here for rescue were also brought down and taken to the hospital… As per the information, it was a WagonR (that hit the girl's scooter). It has been seized by the police. We will ask the girl some questions about the incident and take further action,” he added. (ANI)
