Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently wrapped up shooting for Indian spy action series Citadel: Honey Bunny, starring Varun Dhawan. Despite their busy schedules, the two stars have now found time to start another highly anticipated project in Mumbai: Rakt Bramhand: The Bloody Kingdom.

After a brief break, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has returned to the sets and started shooting for her next TV serial 'Rakt Bramhand', starring Aditya Roy Kapur. Samantha recently took to social media to share her joy of being back on the sets. She posted a picture showing a passport-like book with her name on it, alongside a pencil, a luxury backpack, a coffee mug and a sleep-inducing oil. She captioned it, “Never stop dreaming. Glad to be back on a film set after a while. #Raktbrahmand @d2r_films.”

Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, the mastermind behind Tumbbad, and produced by Raj & DK of The Family Man under their D2R Films banner, the series has officially begun production. The cast also includes Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi.

A report from Mid-Day provided more insights into the show. According to an insider, Rakt Bramhand is Raj & DK's first foray into the action fantasy genre set in a fictional kingdom. While they are helming the production of The Family Man, the duo is also overseeing the development of Rakt Bramhand. “The sheer scale of the production is something they have never attempted before. We started shooting two weeks ago and are currently shooting some lavish action sequences at Bahubali Studio in Borivali,” the source revealed.

The team will soon take a short 10-day break, after which they will regroup in October. Most of the filming will take place on the same set and in different parts of the city. Production will continue until February 2025. Earlier this year, Netflix announced Rakt Bramhand: The Bloody Kingdom as its first action fantasy series.
