Death of a biker in Gurugram: Accused driver Kuldeep Thakur could not produce a valid driving license to the police after the incident

Kuldeep Thakur, the man who crashed his car into a 23-year-old's motorcycle in Gurugram and died, was unable to produce a valid driving license to the police after the incident. The accused driver was driving on the wrong side of the road when the collision occurred early on September 15. A video of the incident surfaced online.

The instrument cluster of the accused's vehicle has been seized by the police and sent for examination. This will help the police to determine the speed of the vehicle at the time of the accident and enable them to file appropriate charges against the accused.

Senior police officials said that charges could be filed against the accused under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (intentional killing not amounting to murder) once they had access to the forensic report.

The footage of the accident was taken from a camera attached to the motorcycle of the victim's friend. He said that the police did not confiscate the footage. It was only three days later, after Kuldeep Thakur had already been released on bail, that the police asked him for the footage.

According to official records accessed by India Today, Kuldeep Thakur has a history of traffic violations. Thakur, a repeat offender, had received tickets for driving and parking on the wrong side before, the most recent on August 24.

The accused's car had a sticker of the BJP candidate for a seat in the Palwal Assembly on it

The vehicle driven by Kuldeep Thakur bore a sticker of Gaurav Gautam, the BJP candidate from Palwal constituency.

The accused runs a public relations, advertising and political communication agency called All Axis Media based in Ghitorni. The pro-BJP Facebook page 'Ek Vichaar Bhajpa Sarkar', which has over 208,000 followers, was managed by All Axis Media, while another company linked to his business partner was running anti-BJP campaigns in Haryana.

According to Meta's Ad Library report, All Axis Media spent Rs 36,229 crore on paid advertising for posts on “Ek Vichaar Bhajpa Sarkar,” which frequently features political rivals, including Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
