Houston police search for suspect involved in sexual assault and aggravated robbery

HOUSTON, Texas (KWTX) – The Houston Police Department's Robbery Division is currently searching for a suspect allegedly responsible for two aggravated sex crimes and aggravated robberies, according to the Houston Police Department's Robbery Division website.

Houston police were first notified of the situation around 9:30 p.m. on September 12, when a woman called from the 16100 block of Imperial Valley and reported being approached by an unknown man armed with a handgun.

According to police, the suspect demanded the victim's money and phone and then put her in a headlock “until she almost lost consciousness.”

The suspect then sexually assaulted the victim and fled the scene when a witness intervened.

Houston police believe the unidentified suspect is also involved in another aggravated robbery and sexual assault that occurred on September 9 in the 100 block of Aldine Bender.

During the September 9 incident, the suspect pointed a handgun at an unidentified woman before sexually assaulting her. The victim was able to escape from the suspect, and the suspect also fled the scene on foot.

Police described the suspect as a 5'9″ black man between the ages of 17 and 19.
